Coaches Jim Cotta is a Certified Strength & Conditioning Specialist through the NSCA and holds a B.S. in Exercise Science from Springfield College. He has 13 years of experience as a strength and conditioning coach working with a variety of athletes at the University of Texas, University of Nevada-Las Vegas, and as the Head Strength & Conditioning Coach for the Los Angeles Lakers earning championship rings in 2000, 2001, and 2002. Cotta has trained NBA All-Stars Shaquille ONeal, Karl Malone, Kobe Bryant, Gary Payton, Horace Grant, Dennis Rodman, Mitch Richmond, Eddie Jones, Nick Van Exel, and A.C. Green, and worked with NBA coaching great Phil Jackson. He has also worked with NFL All-Pro wide receiver Terrell Owens. In addition Cotta has had articles published in and been featured in interviews with ESPN, NBA.Com, Men’s Health, Health & Fitness, Muscular Development, USA Today, KCAL, ESPN-Radio, Max Muscle, Wall Street Journal, Los Angeles Times, Fox Sports, and Spike TV. He has also been a speaker at numerous sports camps across the country, and a speaker at the NSCA’s National Conference on the topic of core conditioning and rehabilitation. Amy Cotta is a nationally recognized fitness spokesperson and personal trainer. Her certifications include: NSCA and ISSA certified personal trainer, ACE Group Fitness Trainer, ISSA Certified Endurance Trainer, GMP Golf Conditioning Specialist, YMCA Foundations of Group Fitness, YMCA Foundations of Strength & Conditioning, USA Cycling Coach, Stroller Strides, IKA Aerobic Kickboxing Trainer, CPR, and First AID. Amy is also a proud member of IDEA. A competitive athlete since age 13, Amy became a nationally ranked, professional fitness competitor after the birth of her second child and holds three national titles: ESPN2 Fitness America, Las Vegas Fitness Champion, and Miss Fitness Cincinnati. In her spare time you can find Amy competing in outdoor adventure sports such as: Cross Country Mountain biking, Cyclo Cross racing, and off-road triathlons. Throughout her career Amy has been featured in many nationally published bodybuilding/fitness magazines and books in both America and Europe . A regular fitness expert on News Channel 5 Talk of the Town on segments like getting back in shape after baby, and sculpting your arms for summer, Amy is also featured in and personally choreographed many top selling exercise videos. She has helped design several pieces of home exercise equipment and is currently writing a book on women's fitness, highlighting her unique and highly effective training protocols. Amy is a Master Trainer for Rowbics, Concept2 Rowers, and Workout 180. Amy is a busy mother of six, she understands the struggles that most of her clients face: finding time to exercise, losing weight after baby, and eating a nutritionally balanced diet. |
